My Dear Friends in Christ,
Corpus Christi Church proudly welcomes His Excellency, Bishop David M O’Connell on this World Mission Sunday. We are asked to heed the call of Pope Francis to keep our “Hearts on fire, feet on the move". On this day, we reflect on our baptismal promise to be disciples and missionaries, sharing the Good News. Our second collection today is for the Society for the Propagation of the Faith. This collection will directly help priests, religious, and lay leaders in the Pope’s missions, allowing them to minister to and uplift communities in dire need. Thank you for your contribution.
Immediately following the 11:00 AM Mass, Bishop O’Connell will dedicate the Monument to the Unborn which was transferred from the Knights of Columbus Property. Light refreshments will be served in Bodgan Hall following the dedication ceremony. All are welcome!
October is the month of the Rosary. So many people in need depend on us for our prayers and support, not only in our own country but throughout the world. We see this now in Israel. Bishop encourages us, "In this month of the Rosary, pray the most effective prayer that our Blessed Mother will intercede with her Divine Son for the people affected by the current war.” We must all come together and pray for peace in the world.
Religious Education registration is still available for those children in need of placement in our Religious Education program.
May God bless you all,
Father John
