My dear Friends in Christ,
In the name of The Father, and of The Son, and of the Holy Spirit! This prayer leads us into the mystery we celebrate this Sunday, The Most Holy Trinity. They mystery of The Most Holy Trinity is a basic doctrine of Faith in Christianity, understandable not with our heads but with our hearts. It teaches us that there are three distinct Persons in one God, sharing the same Divine Nature. Our mind cannot grasp this doctrine which teaches that 1+1+1=1 and not 3. But we believe in this Mystery because Jesus who is God taught it clearly, the Evangelists recorded it, and the Fathers of the Church tried to explain it and the Councils of Nicaea and Constantinople defined it as a dogma of Christian Faith. In the Second Reading we find the greeting which gives us the synthesis of the Mystery of The Holy Trinity: “ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you.” The Solemnity of the Holy Spirit helps us to affirm our central truth and faith in one God: the Father who creates, the Son who redeems and the Holy Spirit who sanctifies, unifies and reconciles.
Many thanks to all who made our Ministry Fair a success. Special thanks to Brother Higgins and Brother Nicosia for representing the Legion of Mary and informing them on what a new Praesidium would be like here at Corpus Christi.
Thank you to all who made our Memorial Day Mass and Remembrance very special to those who served our country.
More details re the physical plant issues forthcoming.
May God bless you all,
Father John
