May God bless you all,
When our stomachs are empty it means that we will suffer from hunger pangs. We want food and nourishment. If we don’t get it right away we become irritable and distracted. God knew this when He sent manna to the Israelites and Jesus knew that His followers heard His message better when they had eaten. Our Lord knows what we need even before the thought is formed in our minds. We need the gift He gives us in the Eucharist. Without the gift of the Eucharist and Christ’s sacrifice for us, we would still be “wanderers in the desert” just as the Israelites. Jesus said: “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me shall never hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” We should always approach Him in the Eucharist with praise and thanksgiving.
There are still openings in the Mass Book for those who wish to reserve one. Or if you wish to reserve flowers or the Sanctuary Candle you may do so at any time. Please call the Rectory office for more information.
