My dear friends in Christ,
Why do so many find it difficult to understand the Most Holy Trinity? Some have attempted to plumb the depths of this inexhaustible mystery. Our belief is in the One God who is revealed in three divine Persons — Father, Son, and Spirit — the creative, the redemptive, and the sanctifying love of God. The Trinity is about relationship. The Son is obedient to the Father and the Father does whatever the Son asks. The Father and the Son send the Spirit and the Son is obedient to the Spirit. The first Sunday after Pentecost celebrates the great dogma of the Christian faith, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, which was declared a feast of the universal Church in 1334 by Pope John XXII. We make reference and pay reverence to the Trinity when we make the Sign of The Cross, which professes faith both in the redemption of Christ and in the Triune God.
If you are now, or have ever been, a member of the Military, we invite you to join us in our annual tribute to those men and women who made the supreme sacrifice, giving their very lives for our country. Please join us for Mass at 9:00 AM on Monday, May 31, 2021. We will honor our heroes in word, prayer and song during Mass.
The Catholic Bishops of New Jersey are lifting the dispensation for the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation beginning June 5/6, the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ. This obligation does not apply to those who are ill or have COVID-19 symptoms. Please pray for one another!
May God bless you all,
Father John
