My dear Friends in Christ,
Our Readings today call us to look for how God is working in our lives. In the First Reading the Israelites are reminded that God led them out of Egypt. The Psalm tells us that God cares for us. In the Second Reading, Paul tells us that God proves His love for us because Christ died for us. In the Gospel, we hear how Jesus cared for the people and sent His disciples to do the same. These Readings emphasize God’s love for us people and His desire to save them from sin and death. God shows His love for us through His mercy and grace by His sending of Jesus Christ to die for our sins. Jesus sends out His disciples to serve others and proclaim the good news of the kingdom of heaven. The disciples are given instructions to give freely what they have received. They are told to serve others with compassion, love and, and generosity. They are also given the task of the good news of the kingdom of heaven. It is important for them to share the message of salvation and reconciliation with us and to call us to repentance and faith in God.
We welcome Father Daison to Corpus Christi Parish as he will speak about his missionary work with the House of Mary and Joseph
