My dear friends in Christ,
Jesus is reminding us that by being members of the Church community, we are responsible for one another. We may from time to time have to correct someone or call them to task. This should be done in a loving way. That is not always easy during this stressful time of pandemic. It becomes difficult when our advice is rejected. We become apprehensive and not particularly forgiving or merciful toward the sinner. We can’t turn our back. We should go to the one who sins against us and seek to bring them back reconciling them to the Church. We should get help if necessary and when two or three are gathered in His name, He is in our midst. We are never alone. Jesus gives us updated instructions of how to proceed in case of any conflict within the Church community and how to resolve them.
We are looking at revising the Mass Schedule in the near future. It would probably be Sunday at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 AM. The Saturday Vigil will remain at 4:00 PM. More details will be forthcoming as we prepare to open our 2021 Mass Book in a few weeks.
The Corpus Christi Christmas Tree in front of the Church is gone. It was a victim of a recent windstorm and could not be saved. If you would like to help finance the replacement and replanting of the tree, please reach out to me or make your donation in memory of your loved one and they will be remembered during the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony.
May God bless you all,
Father John
