My dear friends in Christ,
We are a people who need to see things before we believe. We share many doubts when we are told that something happened and we are not present to see it for ourselves. Amid the joys of the Resurrection, today’s Gospel leads to doubt in things unseen. How do we relate to Thomas in our faith? Where are we struggling to find truth in our lives? Like Thomas, we yearn for trust in things unseen. Jesus calls us to believe in the Son of God so that we are led to eternal life. We are called on this Divine Mercy Sunday and every day to trust in The Lord, trust in the beauty of our ministry, and trust in those that surround us with peace. This Eastertime brings us joy in the Risen Lord
ALL PARISH STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS, PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: VIRTUS training is being offered here at Corpus Christi Church on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at 5:30 PM in Bogdan Hall. Rich Scanlon, Director of Faith Formation at Resurrection Parish will be our facilitator. This is a MANDATORY event for all who work, volunteer, or participate in ministry here at Corpus Christi. Registration is easy and can be done on-line at www.virtusonline.org. On-line registration is preferred. If you are unable to register on-line, forms will be available at the training session and we will manually enter the information for you. The Diocese of Trenton requires anyone over the age of 18 who participates in ministries to attend this session. It will last for 2 to 3 hours. I cannot stress this enough as we are called to protect God’s children and vulnerable adults. If you have questions, please call the Rectory Office or see me or Deacon Mike.
May God bless you all!
Father John
