My dear friends in Christ,
On the Seventh Sunday of Easter, we always read from the 17th Chapter of John’s Gospel. In today’s reading, we hear Jesus ask that the unity He experiences with the Father be extended to all who believe in Him. He prays that we be one with each other, with Him, and with the Father. We are reminded that Christ is the source of Christian unity. Through Christ, we are unite with one another and with God, our Father, This assures us that through all of our trials, God will never abandon us.
Annual Catholic Appeal Update: So far we have $23,188.25 pledged toward our Parish Goal of $55,000. We are lagging behind our cohort parishes with regard to meeting our goal. We need your help!!! Pledge cards are in the pews for those who may have missed the appeal weekend. Please consider making a donation and mailing it directly to: ACA, The Diocese of Trenton, Department of Development, P. O. Box 70170, Newark, New Jersey 07107. The ACA helps with the funding of Youth and Young Adult Ministries, Support for Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life, Marriage Ministries and Preparation, Care for The Elderly, and the day to day operation of the Diocese. Thank you for your help!
You may have noticed our Christmas tree in front of the Church has been removed due to rotting. A new tree will cost $650. I’m not sure if it is worth replacing at that price.
Tickets are now on sale for our Anniversary Dinner Dance, “60 Years of Grace in Christ.” They are $30 and are available after Mass or at the Rectory during the week. May God bless you all!
Father John
