My dear friends in Christ,
This weekend’s Gospel reminds us that, as ministers, we are called to a privileged labor in the Lord’s vineyard. It is privileged because God is that generous landowner who welcomes people to His vineyard until the very last moment. For God, it is never too late for people to come to Him and seek to serve Him and do His will. God loves all of us as His children, and His mercy extends beyond our own conceptions of peace and time. Unfortunately, in these uncertain times our work in ministry may become stale. It may wear us down. We may struggle to humble ourselves and move beyond complacency and comfort, but we are called to “seek the Lord” in new and fresh ways, and in our brothers and sisters who rightfully deserve but are still denied a place at the table. If we seek the Lord, we will share in God’s generosity which goes beyond our ability to understand.
We are live-streaming the 9:00 AM Mass on Sunday morning. There has been some difficulty in accessing the feed via You Tube and Facebook which I hope to have cleared up in the next couple of weeks. Many thanks to Ron for posting a tutorial on our Facebook page explaining how to get to the live-stream. I’m hoping to get it to where it comes up directly on our home website page.
We are working on putting together our Super 50/50 Raffle which will be done exclusively by mail-in this year. It does not look like we will be having any dinners or dances anytime soon. Stay tuned for more details.
May God bless you all,
Father John
