My dear Friends in Christ,
How do you expect the Lord, Jesus to treat you when you ask for His help? Do you approach with fear and doubt, or with faith and confidence? Jesus never turned anyone aside who approached Him with sincerity and trust. So why does Jesus order people to refrain from broadcasting His miracles? Why does He want the healing of the deaf and mute man silenced? Well it seems that the more the crowds heard about Jesus and His wondrous deeds, the less it seems they understood them. The miracles were meant to be signs, confirmations of the truth of His teachings, and invitations to trust and obey Him. “He has done all things well.” Jesus never does sloppy or substandard work. What He begins, He finishes, and He always does it to perfection. The good news for us is that as belivers, we can be confident that God is working in us and will carry out His work to pave our way to eternal salvation.
Don’t forget to register your children in our Religious Education program. You may also have friends or neighbors with children in need of formation. Sometimes all it takes is a friendly invitation to generate the spirit that brings a family back to Church. It is my hope that we promote that spirit here at Corpus Christi Parish. Please take the time to reach out to Bonnie Campbell, our Coordinator of Religious Education. Bonnie and her assistant, Judy, and the Catechists are ready to help your children grow in faith and be closer to God. See the bulletin article for details.
May God bless you all,
Father John
